Strong by Lisbeth Darsh is a newsletter about improving yourself. It’s about kicking ass and owning every single mofo part of yourself.

Maybe you want to be stronger mentally and physically. Maybe you want to be kinder. And maybe you just want to be more you and make zero apologies about it.

I get it. And I’m here to teach you what I’ve learned in this life that can help.

Every Sunday, you receive a free newsletter from me.

Better yet … sign up for the full experience and receive everything I publish that week — and get to talk in comments with me and other subscribers. Like a backstage pass but better. And nothing smells like weed.

Why Listen to Me?

That’s a legit question. Well — to start with — I’ve been writing an excellent blog about mindset for 15 years. My website — Words With Lisbeth — contains over a thousand blog posts on mindset and fitness.

Also, I might have covered dogs, life, death, coming out, books, and my obsession with deadlifts and haiku. I’ve written for other folks too, like CrossFit, 1440 Multiversity, Steve’s PaleoGoods, Eat to Perform, etc.

The Complete Story

Heard of CrossFit? I’m a major reason why.

As a key early director at CrossFit, Inc. I helped explode CrossFit from a tiny workout regimen with thousands of devotees in 2008 to a worldwide global phenomenon with millions of fans, broadcasts on ESPN, and over 10,000 global affiliates.

Then I left in 2014 to conquer new worlds, like writing books and venturing into mindfulness as the Director of Digital Marketing Strategy for 1440 Multiversity. Currently, I direct digital strategy for a botanical supplements company.

And I’ve written six books:

  1. “Strong Starts In The Mind”

  2. “Live Like That”

  3. “The world is brutal and you must be brave”

  4. “The FUNctional Fitness Coloring & Activity Book for Adults”

  5. “Strong Starts in the Mind: Workout Journal #1”

  6. “Strong Starts in the Mind: Workout Journal #2”

I’ve done a few other things:

  • CrossFit gym owner (CrossFit Watertown in CT, 2007-2011)

  • Writing professor, Naugatuck Valley Community College

  • United States Air Force officer

  • Masters in the Humanities from California State University

  • BA from Vassar College

People have called me a thought leader, an industry icon, a top influencer, a legend, and a “sports inspirationalist” (I think they made that one up!) but maybe my favorite thing is what Stone Coast CrossFit wrote:

“Lisbeth Darsh is funny, searingly honest, and says all the things we wish we could find the words to say.”

My work has been read by millions of people and I am grateful.
